Edwin was the son of W.W. and Martha Jane Kennedy Watts, Conaway, Quarles,(my G-G-Grandmother Conaway).
W.W. and Martha married in 1877. Ed was born in 1878, and His mother died in August of 1879 and his father died in
September of 1879.
He was raised by his grandmother Eliza Kennedy, and they lived with his uncle A. E. "Gus" and Annie Quarles Kennedy
(his half-sister and aunt).
Earl Roger Quarles married Hazel Byrd first.
Earl Roger died in 1921 leaving Hazel a widow. Ed Kennedy then married Hazel Quarles.

He and Hazel had three children;
Gus, Annie and Lucille.
---
Texas Death Certificate #13086, states he was a farmer in Grapeland, Houston Co., Texas.
This would have been correct, because Earl Roger had a
farm by the McCall Farm approx. 15 miles down into Houston County on the Trinity River that Hazel would have inherited from her late husband.
