Harrison T Cork was born near Bainbridge, Ohio, August 10, 1843, and died at this home in Marshall on July 1, 1901, aged 58 years. In 1854, he came with his parents to this county, the family locating on a farm near Livingston. Here he grew to manhood. In 1862, he enlisted in company G, 70th Illinois, for 3 months and was with the detail guarding prisoners at Camp Douglas in Chicago.
On January 10, 1865, he married Miss Louisa Elam, who survives him, together with four of the 7 children born to them. These are: Jim and Edna of Marshall, Mrs Belle Hutchison and Mrs Zetta Davidson of Wabash.
Mr Cork was member of the ME Church. The funeral services were held on Tuesday, the 2nd, at the Livingston Church, Revs AA White and WA Elliott officiating. The remains were interred in the cemetery adjoining. The G.A.R. to which he belonged took charge of the service.
