"Mrs. Carolina Genrich, nee Rusch, died early Friday at the home of her son Dan Genrich, in the town of Maine, after an illness of two years with paralysis. Funeral services were held from the family home at 1:30 p.m., today, and from St. John's Lutheran church in the town of Maine, at 2:00 o'clock, the Rev. A.J. Koepp officiating. Burial will be in the town of Maine.
Mrs. Genrich was born in Germany January 8, 1845, and came with her parents to America when she was one and a half years of age, locating in Dodge county. She had lived in the town of Maine since she was eleven years of age, and was married fifty-nine years ago to John Genrich, who died seven years ago. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Julius Kufahl, Pine River; Mrs. William Pophal, Merrill; Mrs. Erntz Christian and Dan Genrich, both of the town of Maine, also twenty-four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Other surviving relatives are one brother, William Rusch, of the town of Maine, and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Spiegelburg [Ernestina "Tena" Albertina Rusch] of Tacoma, Washington, and Mrs. Ferdinand Nickel [Bertha Johanna "Hanna" C. Rusch], of the town of Maine."
