The funeral for Phoebe E. Draper will be Thursday 2 pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Smith, pastor of Stone Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be later in the spring in North Watertown Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday (today, 4/1) at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at Stone Presbyterian Church or to the Flower Memorial Library, Watertown.
Mrs. Draper, 92, formerly of So. Meadow St., died Monday at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had been a resident for over 7 years.

Mrs. Draper was a library clerk at the Flower Memorial Library, Washington St., Watertown from December of 1964 to July of 1975.

She was born in Ogdensburg, November 9, 1916, a daughter of William and Elsie Fetterley Peavey. She graduated from Watertown High School in June of 1935 and from the College Center of Watertown. She married Philip A. Draper, June 17, 1939 at Stone Street Presbyterian Church. Mr. Draper, a retired director of distribution at the Watertown Daily Times, died July 4, 1991.

Mrs. Draper was the oldest living member of Stone Presbyterian Church and a member of the Rebekah's. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage on Pillar Point.

She is survived by 2 sons and their wives, David A. and Dawn, Watertown and Florida, Brian W. and Alice, Adams. 6 granddaughters and 5 great grandchildren. A sister, Sarah Hyde, Bowie, MD. Nieces and nephews. Her longtime friend of 88 years, Eleanor Peacor, Watertown.

Two brothers, Lloyd and George Peavey and two sisters, Inez Peavey and Gladys Phillips predeceased her.
