Mrs. Wandalee Hodges, 72, of Ozark, died Sunday morning, Dec. 19, 1999, in Flowers Hospital in Dothan, following an extended illness.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Ridgecrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Hill officiating. Burial will be in Westview Memorial Cemetery with Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. Tuesday until one hour prior before service time when the body will be placed in the church. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2286 Montgomery Highway, Dothan, AL 36302, or to Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Deese Road, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Hodges retired from the Fort Rucker Post Exchange after 23 years of service. At the time of her death, she was employed with Farmers Furniture in Ozark. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, and the Paige Byrd Sunday School Class. Mrs. Hodges was born in Tidwell, Ark., July 8, 1927.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, retired Col. George A. Hodges, Jr.
