Elizabeth was born on March 27, 1937, in Meridian, Ms., and passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2009, in Mariposa, Ca., after a long battle with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Robert McMinn and Faye Elizabeth Ehrlich McMinn; and her husband, Eldred Joseph Specht.
Elizabeth is survived by five children, Jim Monty of Mariposa, Ca., Susan Phillips of Pittsburg, Tx., Robert Monty of Mt. Pleasant, Tx., Cathy Von Sivers of Merced, Ca., and Greg Specht of Catheys Valley, Ca.; a brother, Billy McMinn of Pittsburg, Tx., 11 grandchildren and, seven great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Mariposa United Methodist Church in Mariposa, Ca., on Friday, August 14, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. A Burial will be held at a later date at Ebenezer Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sierra Artist Gallery, Mariposa, Ca., the John C Fremont Healthcare District Hospice Program of Mariposa or The Faye McMinn Genealogy Library located in the Pittsburg-Camp County Public Library, Pittsburg, Texas.
