Her first husband was John Ashpaugh, they were married 24 Dec 1857, in German, Keokuk, Iowa, according to the Iowa Marriage Index. The last census for him was in Van Buren, Keokuk, Iowa, 21 Jul 1860. I am assuming he died after that, because Anna married Henry Sarvis, 9 Nov 1861. I found no death or burial information for John. They had a son, John Jr., born in 1858. (from contributor #47579434).
