Atty. William H. Lynes, 85, of Maple Avenue, Delanson, died Monday at Cobleskill Community Hospital. He had been a patient there for the past 10 days. Born in Cooperstown, Mr. Lynes had practiced law in Delanson since 1912. A former graduate of Albany Business College, he taught school in the Westford districts and read law under Judge Baldwin of Schenevus. His wife, Mrs. Hetty Baldwin S. Lynes, died two weeks ago. Survivors include a son, Attorney Melvin Lynes of Middleburg; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Lovgren of West Hyannis Port, Mass.; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
William Henry Lynes was the son of Edwin and Alice Lynes. He married Hettie Minnie Baldwin Jun 22, 1906 at East Greenbush, Rensselaer Co., New York. He was the father of Elizabeth Lynes, Alice Mary (Lynes) Alford and Melvin Baldwin Lynes.
