Ty W. Hansen, 30, passed away August 8, 2009. He was a decorated veteran and had retired from the United States Navy as a Petty Officer. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, Mandarin 1st Ward and also worshipped with his wife and son at Anchor Faith Church in St. Augustine. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Hansen; son, Thomas Hansen; mother, Kathleen "Kitty" Gardner; brothers, C.J. (Nikki) Hansen and Buddy (Stacey) Hansen; sister, Hil-Dee Fisher; half brothers, Randy Popp, Wesley Popp, Melvin (Denise) Hansen, Ted (Connie) Hansen and LaRoy (Melanie) Hansen; half-sisters, Neta (Scott) Mogenson, Darlene (Dallen) Jolley and LaNette (Travis) Miles; eight step-brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening, Wednesday, August 12, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Mandarin Church of Jesus Christ Later of Day Saints, 11951 Old St. Augustine Road. Bishop Laury Lizsey will officiate. Burial with military honors conferred will follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
