"Sylvia F. (Murry) Burnett was born March 22, 1902 on a farm southwest of Broken Bow to Anton Christian and Anna Marie (Petersen) Vistrup and passed away at North Platte, June 22, at the age of 82.
On July 8, 1931 she was united in marriage to John Milton Murry. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1964.
On Oct. 4, 1966 she was united in marriage to Douglas Burnett and moved to Merna. He passed away Aug. 20, 1970.
She moved to North Platte in 1979 due to failing health.
Survivors include: her children, Mrs. Fred (Laura) Clang of North Platte, Frank Murry of Omaha, Mrs. Carl (Sharon) Vincent of Sargent; nine grandchildren;
11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and other relatives. Also surviving are the Burnett children, Floyd and Joe of Merna, Melvin of Broken Bow, Clair of Anselmo and Lucile McCaslin of Sidney and their families.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents and six sisters, Elsie, Stenna, Anna, Laura, Julia and Christina.
Services were held Monday, June 25 at 2 p.m. at the Grovier Bros. Chapel in Broken Bow, with the Rev. James Huffman of real Life Assembly in North Platte officiating. The soloist was Roy Fauquet and the organist Mrs. Norma Johnson.
Pallbearers included: Dennis Burnett, Clifford Burnett, Dale Burnett, Rodney Burnett, Lavern Burnett, Rodger Richie and Dave Stunkel. Burial was in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
Memorials may be offered in Sylvia's name to the American Cancer Society.
Grovier Bros. Mortuary was in charge of funeral arrangements."
