M. Luther Baker, 88, Boeing Retiree
M. Luther Baker, 88 of 400 Mill St., Trinity House Apartments, Columbia, died Saturday morning following a long illness.
He was the husband of Catherine Nissley Baker. They would have been married for 68 years on Nov. 10.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Nathan and Esther Gruel Baker.
A retired tool and die maker, he worked with Boeing Aircraft in Seattle.
He was a member of Foresters of America, Susquehanna Court, Columbia.
He was baptized in the Lutheran faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Catherine, wife of Richard Booth of Wrightsville; two sons, Joseph J. of Columbia and James R. of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Sener of Bellingham, Wash.
