Olive R. McChesney, 101, of Lebanon, N.H., formerly of Belford, Middletown, and Hightstown, died Friday, May 20, at Genesis Elder Care, Lebanon, N.H.

She was born Nov. 24, 1903 in Belford, the daughter of Albert Runyon and Corena Truex Runyon.

Olive McChesney graduated from Leonardo High School in 1921. On Aug. 24, 1927, she married Frank C. Underhill, who owned and operated the Underhill Ice and Fuel Oil Co. in Hightstown. Mr. Underhill died on Dec. 11, 1946. Olive married Warren E. McChesney on June 16, 1951, and Mr. McChesney died on Aug. 13, 1976.

Mrs. McChesney was a member of the First Methodist Church for over 70 years and was also a member of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years, serving as Ester for a number of years. Mrs. McChesney moved to Woodstock, Vt., in 1989.

She was predeceased by four sisters and a brother. Surviving are two daughters, Corena M. and her husband William J. VanLiew of Allentown, and Janet and her husband, John Ditcheos of Woodstock, Vt.; a son, Frank C. and his wife Margaret T. Underhill of Peyton, Colo.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Resident Council Fund, Genesis Elder Care, 24 Old Etna Road, Lebanon, NH 03766, or to the charity of one's choice. Cabot Funeral Home, Woodstock, Vt., is in charge of arrangements.
