Rev. Dr. Charles Carroll Albertson was the son of Benjamin F. and Martha Elma (Bowman) Albertson. Florence Edith (Romer) Albertson was his 1st wife. They were married November 8, 1899. Florence died in 1926. Rev. Albertson was serving Brooklyn: Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church at the time of her death. Permelia (Hogg) Lindridge Albertson was his 2nd wife. They were married in 1928. Permelia died April 11, 1949. Rev. Albertson was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: North Indiana Conference 1889 F1892 Erie Conference by transfer 1892 Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference by transfer 1895 Philadelphia Conference by transfer 1899 Located own request. In 1904 he withdrew from the ministry and membership of the Methodist Episcopal Church and entered the ministry of the Presbyterian Church.

During his three-year pastorate from 1892-1895 at Jamestown: First Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. Albertson conducted the funerals of seventy-five children who died of diphtheria. For that period the cemetery records show a total of 554 deaths of children in Jamestown, New York.
