Bereaved by children Donna, Ginger, Dennis, Barbara, Timmy and Tara.
Beloved aunt of the five Cullen boys: Jimmy, Larry, Danny, Kevin and Frankie.
Virginia is the youngest child of Michael and Catherine (Prunty) McElroy, originally from Ballybay Castle, Monaghan, Ire.
Virginia's sisters and brothers are: Mary Ellen Murphy (named after Catherine's sister, b. Sun. 03/09/1913 - d. 07/18/2001), Katherine Horan (b. Mon. 02/02/1914 - d. 11/24/1993), Lawrence V. McElroy (after Michael's oldest brother, b. 1916 - d. 10/09/1970), Ann Jane Cullen (formally, Anna Jeanette, commonly called Annie, named after Catherine's sister and aunt (07/08/1917 – 06/29/1962), Margaret (b. 09/21/1919 – 12/07/2013), Michael McElroy Jr. (d. 1 yr. old infant buried 05/19/1922), and Charles Jos. "their Buddy" (03/03/1922-11/05/2010).
While her proper first name is Virginia, family and close friends always knew her as Jeannie.
Despite any of life's trials, I always found Aunt Jeannie to have a good sense of humor and a certain funny wit that was quick with quips.
Aunt Jeannie was interred 09/02/1982. Her husband Dennis J. joined her 10 August 1987, at Calverton.
