Peter Tye is a twin to brother Ben, s/o Thomas McKeehan and Sarah Wilson, a 1st cousin to my Grt-grandfather, and a 3rd generation descendent of family founders Benjamin McKeehan and Mary Hickey.
He married in 1860, to Lydia Samantha Hart; 10 Children followed. Peter, a farmer, is in need of help with the farm. Ten children, right? (8) DAUGHTERS and TWO sons . . . hopefully, girls too, make good farm-hands.
By 1900, this couple has been married 41 years; Peter owns his farm with no encumberances and their ten children now adults, are all still living.
Upon their demise, Samantha and Peter are both interred in the "Old" Corinth Cemetery, south of Corbin. They lived their lives in Whitley County; their final rest shall be there too.
