Services for Norton J. Messick, 75, Kuna, Ida., who died Mon., Nov. 18, 1974, at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Robison Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian, Ida., by Pastor Warren Swartz of the Kuna Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Kuna Cemetery.

He was born on March 11, 1899, in Mountain Home, Ark. He married Orpha M. Shelman on July 31, 1926, in Wellington, Kan. They came to Nampa in 1939, then they lived in California and he worked in defense industries during World War ll, they moved to Kuna in 1945. He had been a building contractor until 1962, when he retired due to ill health.

He was a member of the Kuna Church of Christ and the IOOF Lodge of Kuna, where he was a past noble grand.

Surviving are his wife of Kuna; a son, Paul Messick, Kuna; two sisters, Marian Ohm, Melba, Ida., and Una Cissna, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Woodson , Mountain Home, Ark., and Joy Messick, Little Mountain, S.C.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
