COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 01/29/1985
Edward D. Knoop, 84, formerly of 4143 Craig Ave., died Sunday [January 27, 1985] at Briarwood Nursing Home. He was a retired machinist for Naval Ordnance Station and a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Alice Brady; seven daughters, Mrs. Terry Tripplett of Jackson, MS, Mrs. Loretta Mills of Indianapolis, Mrs. Floretta Reusch of Berea, Mrs. Juanita Polley of Decatur, IN, Mrs. Dorothy Sadler, Mrs. Mary Husband and Mrs. Florence Glass; a son, George E. Knoop; two brothers, Leroy & Virgil Knoop; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Sattich, Mrs. Emaline Baird and Mrs. Viola Feldman; 24 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 4100 Southern Parkway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, will be after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
