LUCAS, Johnny Andrew, 59, of Narrows, died Friday, November 14, 2003 at his residence after a long battle with liver cancer. A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born on June 4, 1944 and was the son of the late Guy Edward and Gladys Winnie Lucas. He was a member of the North Narrows Tabernacle, and the Pearisburg Moose Lodge #1338 Pearisburg, Va. He is survived by his wife, Martha Cooper Lucas, Narrows; a son and his wife, Johnny Wayne and Lisa Ann Lucas, Narrows; three brothers, Mack Lucas, Paul Lucas, both of Narrows, Danny "Bo" Lucas, Woodbridge, Va.; two sisters, Becky Morris and Barbara Blankenship, both of Narrows; two grandsons, J. W. Lucas and Reed Lucas, both of Narrows; and a special friend, Harold McDaniel, Narrows. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 17, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the North Narrows Tabernacle with Rev. Paul Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Angel's Rest Cemetery, Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.
