Since Albert was cremated, I believe this is a cenotaph… and he is really with his wife.
Al served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was a deep-sea diver in Alaska and Bellingham.

Albert A., age 69, of Doe Bay, WA. passed away Weds. Jan. 3, 1979. Мг. Abrahamsen had been a deep sea diver operating out of Alaska & Bellingham. A WWII Army Veteran, member of the American Legion & had been a resident of Bellingham, for 17 yrs. He is survived by a brother, Harry of city, 2 sisters; Mrs. Helen Golithon of Olga, WA. & Miss Clara Abrahamsen of Doe Bay, WA. Cousin, Mrs. Alice Jensen of Doe Bay, WA. 2 step-sons: John Mitchell of CA. & Leo Mitchell of Seattle. Memorial service Tues. Jan. 9th at 3pm in JONES FUNERAL HOME, Rev. Lawrence Guderian officiating.
