FRANKLIN—James Wilbur Alford, 83, of Franklin died at 9:23 p.m. Feb. 29, 2004, at The Medical Center.
The Simpson County native was a son of the late Jasper Alford and Leva Wilson Alford. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Alford.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Whites Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include four daughters, Faye Cantrell, Barbara Byrum and Brenda Hyde, all of Franklin, and Vickie Kluck of Portland, Tenn.; four sons, Kenneth, Jimmy, Danny and Ricky Alford, all of Franklin; two sisters, Ruby Cantrell and Hazel McDonald, both of Franklin; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
