Grady Huddleston

Grady Huddleston (BSA '42) of Fayetteville, Judge of Fayette Co. Magistrate Court, died Feb 20. He served with the 34th Infantry Division in Europe in WWII, earning the BRONZE STAR & the PURPLE HEART, & the EUROPEAN THEATHER RIBBON, with two BATTLE STARS. After the war he represented Fayette Co., in the State House of Representatives for 14 years. He served in Fayette Co., Magistrate Court for the last 13 years.

Mr. Grady L Huddleston of Fayetteville died February 20, 2001. Mr. Huddleston was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, the VTW, American Legion. He was Past Master of Tyrone Masonic Lodge No. 644 F.&A.M. and also a Past Master of Fayetteville Masonic Lodge No. 711 F.&A.M.

He is survived by wife, Mrs. Carolyn Huddleston, Fayetteville; daughters, Anne and John Palcer, Warrenton, VA; Gloria Gradine (G.G.) Huddleston, Atlanta; grandsons, Chase and Jake Palcer, Warrenton, VA; sisters, Mrs. Florene Adams, Fayetteville; Mrs. Ruby Shelley, Thomaston; Mrs. Linda Blanchard, Fayetteville; brother, Mr. Kenneth Huddleston, Americus; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, with remains placed in state at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Glen Stringham will officiate. Interment Westminster Gardens. Family will receive friends Friday from 3 til 5 and 7 til 9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge No. 711 F.&A.M., PO Box 711, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
