Frederick was the son of Charles Clinton and Anna R. (Allender) Cochran. He married Elsie Clara Stout in 1911 and they were the parents of two children: Ronald Vern and Edna Pauline.

FUNERAL FOR FRED G. COCHRAN

Fred G. Cochran, 79, retired Jefferson County farmer, were held this afternoon at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, Ia.
Cochran, 511 E. Adams, died suddenly Saturday, Jan.1,1966 at 3:25 p.m. after he suffered a heart attack at his home. Services were conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Johnson. Burial was in in the Glasgow Cemetery in Glasgow.
Cochran farmed east of Fairfield for many years. He moved to his present home about a year ago. He was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church and IOOF lodge No. 4, services were conducted at the funeral home.
Cochran was born in Jefferson county March 22, 1886, the son of Charles C. and Anna Allender Cochran. He was married to Elsie Stout Feb. 23. 1911.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Ronald Cochran, news director for the American Broadcasting Co., New York City; and one daughter, Mrs Laurence Wolf, Fairfield, Ia.
Also surviving are four grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Cochran, Jefferson, Ore.; and two sisters. Mrs Ben Murphy and Mrs. Guy McCormick, both of Fairfield, Ia.
One brother preceded him in death.
