Funeral services for the late Dr. N.P. Oglesby of Dublin, were held Friday afternoon at the W.P. Oglesby residence in Draper's Valley. Dr. G.H. Gilmer, Rev. McChesney, and Rev. Gold officiating. Interment was in the family cemetery near the old Oglesby home.

Active pallbearers were Joe Ryan of Columbus; Joe Crockett of Welsh; Rees Bowen of Tazewell; Cloyd Glendy and F.H. Jordan of Dublin, John Conpenhaver of Roanoke. The honorary pallbearers were Drs. Cushing, Chaffin, Seagle, Conduff, Graham, Gleaves, and Painter, and Messrs. J.W. McGavock, E.C. Gannaway, W.R. Crockett, Chas. Harman, Francis Bell, A.C. Scotts, E.D. Withrow, J.G. Buford, Howe Kent, W.A. Baldwin, Albert Baldwin, Erir Vermin, John Worrell, and James Dobyns.

Dr. Oglesby was born September 2, 1874. He received his academic training at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va., and Ohio State University.
