A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery for Shirley G. Malcolm, age 60, who died at Southwest Washington Medical Center Monday, April 3, 1995, of a heart attack. She was working as a child care specialist at the state School for the Blind.
Born September 1, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Malcolm has lived in Vancouver 30 years. She was a volunteer and advocate for women's and children's support groups and people with special needs.
She is survived by three daughters, Taryn Lueck, Stacy Griffin and Kristen Ah Yek, all of Vancouver, Washington; two sons, Collin and Kevin, both of Goldendale, Washington; two brothers, Gary Fairclough of Lebanon, Oregon, and Robin Fairclough of Lynnwood, Washington; two sisters, Claudia Clark of Lynnwood and Sherrie Rhoades of Leadville, Colorado; and 16 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the YWCA of Clark County, 1115 Esther St., Vancouver, Washington 98660.
Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
