Graduate of Northwestern Medical School.
During his residency at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Bridenbaugh chose to serve his country in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Dr. Bridenbaugh joined the VA in 1952, moving to Portland in 1954 where he worked at the VA Hospital until his death in 1964.

Children: Harlan Bridenbaugh, Susie Bridenbaugh and Becky Jahns



Thomas Sweeney, Robert Beckman and Robert Bridenbaugh, all of Montana, students at the Medical School of Northwestern University, were overnight guests of Harrison Smith, Riverside Drive, prior to sailing on the S. S. St. Louis on a student tour of the medical centers of Germany.

The State Board of Health, the Public Health Association, and the State Advisory Commission —all of Minnesota—have planned to remove the friction between them that has long existed to the detriment of their work.... He is one of the five men Billings has given the Medical Corps, the others being Dr. E. A. Gerhart and the Drs. S. G. and F. L. Arnold and Dr. J. H. Bridenbaugh.
