George "Buck" Isom, 83, of Rockwood, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009 in Coleman County Medical Center of Coleman.
George was born September 4, 1925 in Ennis.
He married Laura Jean Snell on October 2, 1948 in Ellis County. Buck attended school in Telico and Ennis. He was a John Deere dealer in Ellis County from 1961-1978.
He is survived by his wife Laura Jean Isom of Rockwood; three sons and daughters-in-law Larry Wayne and Donna Isom, of Big Lake, Garry Wade and Melissa Isom of Ingram, and Michael Dee Isom of Rockwood; two sisters, Jeanette Morris and Edna Newman, both of Ennis; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2009 at the J.E. Keever Mortuary with graveside services at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Myrtle Cemetery with Rev. J.B. Bitner officiating.
