Hosea Oliver 'George' Sorenson, 71, passed away Feb. 17, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born March 19, 1920 in Leamington, Utah, a son of Heber Eli and Mabel Stout Sorenson. Active member of the LDS Church. George worked for Kennecott Copper as a Truck Mechanic for 25 years.

Survived by wife, Deon Holdaway Sorenson, Taylorsville; one son and six daughters, Larry Sorenson, Shauna Campbell, Susan Tanner, Jayne Flint, Mary Nay, Judy Lord and Linda Bossard; 30 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother and five sisters, Lynn Sorenson, Lena Pehrson, Violet Thomas, Ina Nugnet, Carol Gillingwater, Ruby Whitehead. Preceded in death by brother, Orvil.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon, at the Taylorsville Garden 1st Ward, 4252 South 1905 West. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Rd. and Friday at the church from 11-11:40 a.m.

Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
