Edward E. Walters of Hillsboro died of kidney failure Sunday in a Hillsboro care center at the age of 77. At his request, no service will be held.
He was born Nov. 11, 1914, in Portland and was a lifelong resident of the Portland area. A longtime truck driver and member of the Teamsters union , Mr. Walters worked for Safeway stores for many years and then was employed by the Hudson House wholesale grocery company until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda; son, Wally of Gresham; and brothers, A.A. and R.J., both of Portland.
Private interment was in Union Cemetery at Cedar Mill .
