Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday August 5, 2009 at the Rupp Funeral Home where a scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. He will lie instate 8:30 a.m.Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church with services at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Stephen Vileo, Pastor will officiate and entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.
Born December 17, 1929 in Monroe, he was the son of Benjamin and Ada (Conn) Weier. He married June Bell on June 2, 1951 in Charleston, South Carolina.
He was employed by Ford Motor Company, Rawsonville, from 1952 till his retirement in 1985 as a die cast engineer. He served in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 11, 1948 to Oct. 9, 1952 and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Surviving is his wife June of LaSalle; sons, Michael (Gloria) Weier of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Gary Weier of Novi, Michigan, Daniel (Amy) Weier of Luna Pier, Michigan, Thomas Weier of LaSalle, Michigan, Glenn (Suzanne) Weier of Waterford, Michigan; a daughter, Marsha (Michael) Banks of Dallas, Georgia; four sisters, Marie Noe of Tazewell, Tennessee, Carol (Don) Colpaert, Frances (Richard) Russeau and Linda Worley all of Monroe; seventeen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Allen, Clinton and Arthur Weier; and sisters, Ruth Murphy, Betty Weier and Joanne Duvall.
