Byron owned farm in the Milford area, known as Meadow Land, 50 acres in sec 22. His early days were spent assisting his father in the saw mill and rake factory. It was a well known fact that his father left for his own quest to Salt Lake City, Utah when the boys were young, leaving the property to be ran by the mother and sons.
