James was the son of Charles V. Anderson and Judah Ann (Smith) Anderson.

James and Susan Emmaline Phillips were united in marriage abt.1851 in McNairy County, Tennessee. Together they had eleven children.

The picture of James was taken from an old tin picture that is in the old Anderson Family Bible that was given to my gr-grandmother, Cyntha Ann (Pond) Anderson. on January 6, 1886 by her husband, John Alexander Anderson, oldest child of James Thomas, Sr. This Bible is now in my possession. It is full of the old tin type pictures.

I took the picture of James headstone in 1997.

James Thomas was my gr-gr-grandfather.
