SHERMAN BAY
Sherman Bay, for seventeen years a resident of this vicinity, passed to the Great Beyond last Thursday morning, November 14th. The immediate cause of his death was heart disease. During the time of his illness he lived with his brother Grant Bay. He made final proof on his own homestead only a few weeks before his death.
In the passing away of Sherman Bay the community suffers the loss of an ideal citizen and neighbor -- one was always willing to lend aid to those in need of any help in his power to give. He was a member of the Christian Church, and remained true to the faith till the end.
He was born in Iowa January 27th, 1866, where he spent his boyhood days. In 1883 he moved with his parents to South Dakota where he resided until 1895 when he came to Wyoming. He was never married.
He leaves to mourn two sisters and four brothers: Mrs. Olive Crago, of Iowa; Mrs. Lucy Crago, of California; Edward of California and James of Iowa, John of Kansas, and Grant of this place. Mrs. Olive Crago and Grant were the only relatives present at the time of his death.
The Globe joins many friends of the deceased in heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved.
The funeral services were conducted at the church in Hulett Saturday afternoon, and interment made in the Hulett Cemetery.
