Note mothers not in agreement. The D C has a Mary Gordon mother, and census shows that Rebecca is the wife, but the trouble could not get the names of a 1840 census to prove the mother. Perhaps someone could fill in the correct info, or mother link. The 1850 census show John, and Rebecca, Daughters 20 and 16, Charles 13, Then Albert 6. That is a gap...looking like he re-married and Rebecca had her first child Albert, a read between the lines bit using the D C as not she not his mother. Now I wonder where a Mary [Gordon] Hoag is buried.
