Mason City, IL - Charles David "Charlie" Bennett, 95, of Mason City, formerly of Easton, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009 at Mason City Area Nursing Home.
He was born November 12, 1913 in Easton to Ezra and Jane Whitehead Bennett, he married Mildred Faye Dorethy on August 31, 1935 in Macomb, she preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth (Rev. James) Snodgrass of Chino, California and Carol (Dale) Langenbahn of Springfield; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Charles D. Bennett, Jr.; one great grandson; and two sisters.
Mr. Bennett was a farmer for many years.
He was a member of the Mason City Assembly of God Church.
Burial will be at Mason City Cemetery.
