The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, December 24, 1936

After a critical illness of nearly two weeks, Mrs. S.C. Acheson departed this life Friday. She had been in poor health since last spring. Both of her sons, William and C.J. Acheson of Dix, Nebr., were here for the funeral services which were held at the chapel in Evergreen cemetery (sic) Monday afternoon at two. Rev. A.G. Swanson of the Methodist church was in charge. Burial was in Evergreen.

Mina Louella Calvert, only daughter of David and Elizabeth Calvert, was born at Farmington, Ill., July 8, 1964 and passed away at Superior, Nebr., Dec. 18, 1936. She came to Kansas when but a small girl and was married on April 16, 1885 to S.C. Acheson of Jewell county (sic), Kansas, where they lived until 1920, when they moved to Superior.

Mrs. Acheson was converted at the Star school house southwest of Hardy in 1880 and united with the Methodist church, of which she was a member until the time of her death.

Mrs. Acheson leaves to mourn her passing two sons, William A. and Calvert J., and four grandchildren, besides other relatives and many friends. Mr. Acheson preceded her in death last August.
