S.C. Acheson died at 11 o'clock Wednesday night at his home on the cement plant road from a heart ailment. He had an attack a week before, but was able to be up and about Wednesday.

Funeral services were conducted from the home Saturday morning at ten by Rev. A.G. Swanson of the Methodist church. Interment was made in Superior cemetery. The following obituary was read at the services:

Samuel Connor Acheson was born April 18, 1958 in Stephenson county (sic) near Lena, Ill., and departed this life at his home in Superior Aug. 19, 1936.

Mr. Acheson came to Jewell county (sic), Kansas in the year 1873 and lived there until the year 1920. April 16, 1885 he was united in marriage to Mina Luella (sic) Calvert. To this union two sons were born. In the year 1920 Mr. Acheson moved to Superior where he resided until the time of his death.

He united with the Methodist church at Hardy in the year 1900 and after moving to Superior transferred his membership to the Methodist church of this city.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife and two sons, William A. and Calvert J., both of Dix, Nebr., four grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.
