Detroit Herald - Grandpa Asher, as he was commonly known by Detroit people, died Friday night at his home in Detroit and was buried Saturday in the Detroit Cemetery. Mr. Asher was 91years of age and made his home with his daughter, Miss Edna, who has nursed him the past 4 years, he having suffered a stroke of paralysis about 4 years ago. Epitaph: Gone But Not Forgotten.
