Son Robert died in 1920 of Spanish Influenza, the same disease that took son William Chenault Argo in 1918. The death of Belle in March 1922 extinguished the family.
She was born near Danville Kentucky, daughter of Professor and Mrs William Chenault.
William K. Argo served as the sixth superintendent of KSD from 1884 to 1894. He was the son of Robert and Martha Hobbs Argo, both deaf and his mother was a student at KSD.
He graduated at Centre College in 1879, receiving degree of M. A. in 1881 and LL. D. in 1904 and taught KSD from 1879 to 1884.
He married Miss Isabella Chenault on October 7, 1886 and they moved to Colorado School for the Deaf and became teacher from 1895 to 1899.
He served as superintendent at the same school from 1899 to 1921. He received a degree of LL. D. from Colorado College in 1911.
