Nelsie "Louise" Tucker, 86, of Camano Island, passed away Sunday, December *19th, 2011 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born October 25, 1925 in Cassville, Missouri to Garland & Verla Hilburn.
Louise has lived on Camano Island for over twenty years, right next door to her son and daughter-in-law.
She was an active member of her church, Camano Chapel and a talented seamstress and gifted quilter. Always making beautiful quilts for her family and loved ones.
She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law Lenard & Cecelia Tucker of Camano Island, stepdaughter Shirlee Schaffer of Lakeside, California, sister Sylvia Malaby of Monett, Missouri and Nadine Cox of Shell Knob, Missouri, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence C. Tucker, parents, stepdaughter, two sisters, 1 grandchild and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services to be held Tuesday, December 27,2011 at 11:00AM at Camano Lutheran Cemetery, Camano Island.
Arrangements under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood and a special thank you to Hospice of Skagit County and Pastor Steve of Camano Chapel.
