She was born march 27, 1933, in Coshocton County, the daughter of Everett and Irene Hamer Kasner.
On Feb. 7, 1959, Dorothy married James D. Uhler, who preceded her in death March 12, 2009.
She was a life member and officer of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 749 Jeromesville and a member of the Women of the Moose in Wooster.
Surviving are a son, James E. (Sue) Uhler of Jeromesville; a daughter, Terri I. (Craig) Leighty of Wooster; and grandchildren, Zachary and Tiffany Uhler and Krista and Jenna Leighty.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Josephine Hinkle; and two brothers, Robert and Lawrence Kasner.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Paul Atkinson officiating.
