She was the daughter of Ashby Rogers and Hazel Harbin Wright. She was the wife of Lawrence Allen Bright. They had two daughters. She formerly worked as an insurance company clerk.

This is a poem written by Aunt Ann:

I'm just a little country girl,
Brought up down on the farm,
Milked the cows each morn at dawn,
And then was off to school.

I helped my father in the fields,
And carried in the wood,
Played with my dog and cat,
Because I knew where I stood.

I love the country livin',
There's nothing to compare,
With the earthly beauty,
And wonderful fresh air.
