Brother Meshack Creed died at his home in Clay County, Alabama, April 29, 1886, in the seventy-seventh year of his age. He was a niative of North Carolina, and married Miss Susan McDonald, of Surry County, in that State, January 1830, after which he moved to Harris County, Georgia and was received into the fellowship of the Baptists at Mountain Creek Church, before the division of the Baptists, and baptized by Elder J. R. Cooper. Subsequently he moved to Alabama, and for several years was a member of the Primative Baptist Church at Macedonia, Chambers County, Alabama.
