Married William B Poe August 17, 1823 in Fauquier County, Virginia.

Children: Henderson Guffrey, Phillip F, Mary Mildred, Thomas B, Julia Agnes.

Henderson Poe was the first of the family to migrate and settle in Missouri followed ten years later after the Civil War by his mother and siblings all settling in Scotland County, Missouri.

Notes from son Thomas: her father was Colonel Philip Fishback, mother's surname Miller.

The 1850 Federal census for Barbour County, Virginia, registers Lettice Poe, age 55, living in the home of her daughter, Mary Murphy, age 18, and son-in-law, Absolom Murphy, age 20. Also living in the household is Lettice's daughter, Julia, age 11; and Hester, age 6 months, the daughter of Mary and Absolom.

The 1860 Woods County, West Virginia census registers Latecia Poe, age 65, born in Virginia, living in the household of her son, Thomas Poe, age 25, born in Virginia, his occupation listed as fence builder. Also in the household was Lettice's youngest daughter, Julia, age 19, born in Virginia.

The Richland Church records indicate she was united with the church by "relation" on the third Sabbath in July 1867. The roll of the church listed her as Lettice Poe, wife of William. Her name was dismissed from church roll in 1884 upon notice of death.(Records of transcription of Richland Church Records--Memphis, Missouri library).

The 1880 Union Township, Scotland County, Missouri, census registers Leticia Poe, age 90, born in Virginia, her father born in Wales and her mother born in Virginia, living with her daughter, Mary M Murphy.

Note: There are inconsistencies with the ages shown on census reports for Lettice until 1880 which registers her at age 90. Her tombstone reads she was ninety-five at her death in 1884. Her actual date of birth was determined by using the data from her tombstone--age at death and death date, which calculates to 1788.
