Ray Jimmie Dunlap
Peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Just hours short of his 77th birthday. He went to work in the Lord's Rose Garden. Ray was born September 7, 1931 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Ray was the second child of Clarence Edward Dunlap and Racheal Leoda Ragan. He is survived by, his wife Charlotte of 42 years of Arcata, California; His sons Jimmie and wife, Mary Lou Dunlap of Cottage Grove, Oregon; Tim Dunlap and wife, Charolette Jane of Show Low, Arizona; and Ben Dunlap and wife Josephine of Cayonville, Oregon; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Dunlap and wife Kathy of Cottage Grove, Oregon; and Dean Dunlap and wife Jeaneatta of Caruthers, California; a sister, Sue Leard of Reno, Nevada; Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Racheal Dunlap, two brothers, Carl and Russell Dunlap, a sister, Mary Lou Mefford. He worked at numerous jobs, though his life, he last worked at Mad River Day Care, as a gardener. He did yard work for the people of the mobile park where he lived the last 8 years. Before the stroke in 1999, he played the guitar and the organ, and sang.
