At the age of three, he was wounded by an arrow through the arm, This same Indian attach inwhich he was wounded, his father was killed and his 1/2 brother was kidnapped and never seen again. Amos' arm became withered and remained that way throughout his life.
Amos was probably best known for being one of the first real estate agents in Limestone County, Texas.
He died in Port Lavaco while visiting his sister Caroline.
