PRINCETON Funeral services were Monday at Bethany Lutheran Church for Ernest Kreger, 61, Brainerd, formerly of Princeton and Elk River, who died Friday in Crosby Hospital. The Rev. Wayne Dobratz officiated. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Elk River. Arrangements were by Hanson Funeral Home.
Mr. Kreger was born Dec. 3, 1918, in Anoka County to the late Fred and Johanna (Boehlke) Kreger. He married Carol Bastian in 1941 and the couple lived most of their married lives in the Elk River and Princeton areas prior to moving to Brainerd in 1979. He had farmed and was employed as an electrician many years.
Survivors include his wife; son and daughter.; sisters and brothers, Agnes Holloway, Minneapolis; Jeanette Wirz, Milaca; William, Isle; Arnold, Elk River; Adolph, Phoenix, Ariz., and four grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one sister, Edna.
