JAMES N. DIAL
James N. Dial was born at London City, Illinois, Nov. 11, 1855, departed this life July 19, 1922, at his home near Arcadia, Okla. Age 66 years, 9 months and 9 days. He was married to Alice M. Arnold March 26, 1875. To this union was born four children, Nora, George, Goldie and Gertie; Nora and Goldie having preceded him in death. In June of 1916, his wife, who was a kind, loving mother and helpmate, passed to the great beyond and Mr. Dial has since made his home with his son, George. Mr. Dial moved from Illinois to Kansas and then to Oklahoma in 1884 and has since lived in the vicinity of Luther and Arcadia. He was a kind and loving father and grandfather and loved by all who knew him. Life to him was a busy and useful one. He leaves to mourn his loss, two sisters, Mrs. C. M. Hiteshen, of Brighton, Colorado, and Mrs. Geo. Glatfielder of Caney, Kansas and one brother, William, of Luther. He also leaves one son, George and daughter, Gertie; two grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by J. A. Carruth at Luther, Thursday afternoon following his death. Burial was in the Valley View cemetery.
