Harry, 86, of Atlantic City, passed away peacefully on Friday at home, following a long illness.

Born, in Ocean City, to Bill and Marian (nee Crawford ) Nicholes, Harry remained in this area all of his life.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, in the 368 Field Artillery Battalion, stationed in Japan. He received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct and Victory Medals during his service.

Following the war, Harry worked for Food Fair and Pantry Pride Supermarkets for over thirty years. He served as Vice President of the Retail Clerks Union for many years.

He enjoyed boating, was an avid fisherman and he especially enjoyed his early morning fishing trips with his friend Tony Pantalena.

In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his son, Harry Nicholes Jr., his brother William and sisters Marie Sindoni and Eleanor Leuci.

He was survived by his wife of fifty three years, Marcy (nee Freda), grandson Christopher (Erica), daughter-in-law Marie and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona, following Mass.
