Eliza was the wife of George Washington Hill. George was born in Perry Co, TN. His father was born in NC and mother born in AL. Eliza was born in Cass, Franklin Co, AR. Her parents were Rant & Phoebe McElroy. Both parents were born in TN. Geo & Eliza had 12 children, but only 11 lived. Son Tobe 1861, Minnie 1863, May Myrtle 1865, Martha 1868, Johanna 1872, Robert W Mar 1874, dau Wilhelm 1877, Charles 1879, Viola Dec 1883, Nellie I 1886, son Monta 1888, inf b&d. US census records list name as McElroy too.
