DAWKINS FUNERAL SET AT BETHANY CHURCH FOR 3 P.M.
F.A. Dawkins, father of 10 living children and the patriarch of a large South Alabama family, died at his home on Railroad Avenue Tuesday night.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lenora Dawkins, Andalusia; four sons, Claude, of Brewton, James B., of Heath, Frank, of Houston, Tex., and John W., of Andalusia; six daughters, Mrs. Minnie L. King, of Mobile, Mrs. Emma Barron, Sour Lake, Tex., Mrs. Bertha Mae Taylor, of Lynn Haven, Fla., Mrs. Inez Pugh, of Panama City, and Mrs. Voncile Clark, of Dozier, and Mrs. Fannie Ruth Barnes, of Mobile; 38 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. W.C. Chapman, of Andalusia and Mrs. Jimmie Hurt, of Petry, Ala.; two brothers, Carroll Dawkins, of Andalusia and Tollie Dawkins, of Greenville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Bethany Baptist Church at Heath with Foreman's in charge.
